Commun
ity Survey!
(Posted December 2011)
The purpose of this survey is to identify and build on common ground by further exploring residents’ most frequently reported wishes and concerns.
This study is a gift to the town from BeLocal Mt. Airy, a new local organization focused on initiatives that build healthy community, and the Mt. Airy Kiwanis Club, a 60+ year old local service club. It is a non-partisan and voluntary effort. The project is directed by a small team of community residents with extensive research experience and aided by the invaluable support of a wide range of volunteers.
Please take this survey if:
- You live in the 21771 zip code, or
- You or a family member attend Mount Airy Schools, or

The Kiwanis Club of Mt. Airy was originally chartered in April, 1949 thanks to the combined efforts of three area clubs: Taneytown, Westminster and Ellicott City. The club began with 32 charter members, including several community leaders.
We have always been a group of service-oriented citizens who enjoy giving back and making a difference in the quality of life in our community, especially with regard to our children and supporting their potential. Mt. Airy Kiwanis possesses a long and proud tradition of service to the community, thanks in large measure to the continuity and contribution of our members over the years. We meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 6:30PM at the Mt. Airy Fire Hall, 704 N. Main St. Mt. Airy AND the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Senior Center, 705 Ridge Ave, next to the library.
